Catcher’s Net-Zero Targets Approved by SBTi

Catcher Technology (hereinafter referred to as Catcher) announced (20th) that its net-zero targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), making it the 12th company in Taiwan’s high-tech hardware industry to obtain the SBTi approval. In addition, Catcher has recently received a B rating in both the CDP Climate Change and Water Security questionnaires for the first time. These achievements demonstrate the Group's commitment to energy conservation, carbon reduction, and its performance in environmental sustainability, all of which have been internationally recognized.

With the worsening of global warming and emergence of extreme weather events, Catcher is fully aware of the environmental impact caused by energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In response to the 1.5°C temperature control target established in the Paris Agreement, Catcher submitted a commitment to the SBTi in September 2024 and received the approval in February 2025. Based on the SBTi Net-Zero Standards, Catcher set short-term targets whereby it commits to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46.2% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. Catcher also commits to reducing absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 27.5% within the same timeframe. For long-term targets, Catcher commits to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2022 base year. Catcher also commits to reducing absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% within the same timeframe.

To achieve the aforementioned objectives, Catcher has been promoting the following projects:
1. Participating in the Clean Energy Fund, with over US$70m invested so far and a total of 438 million kWh of green electricity obtained by 2024.
2. Installing solar power generation equipment at the Group's factories (in Suqian and Taiwan), estimated to generate around 30 million kWh of green electricity annually.
3. Installing energy-saving equipment, integrating air compressors, using LED lights and adopting other related measures, together expected to reduce electricity consumption by at least 1.5% annually at each factory. The Suqian factory received the ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification at the end of 2024, indicating that these efforts have been recognized.
4. Continuously improving the recycling rates of waste and water resource and sourcing low-carbon raw materials; currently the proportion of recycled aluminum used in the low-carbon manufacturing process is close to 100%.

Adhering to the philosophy of "innovating technologies, serving customers, valuing integrity and pragmatism, and operating sustainably," Catcher strives to achieve self-actualization and actively responds to climate change issues. Going forward, the Company will collaborate with its supply chain partners to achieve net-zero targets and create a nature-positive future.
