Material Science & Molding
Forging is a form shaping technology for metals. Preheated or unheated raw material can be deformed with external pressure. During the forging process, the metal flows like plastic and the final shape is close to the finished product, which means better machinability and reduction in processing hours. Because the crystals flow during the molding and shape changing process of the metal, the forging process possesses better physical properties such as strength, extension, and toughness/flexibility than ordinary processing processes such as stamping, casting, or machine processing. Catcher has forging machine beds with tonnage ranging from 80 to 600. They can be used to create palmtop products and the materials include aluminum alloy and stainless steel.
Cold forging is a kind of precise forming technology, and has the unique advantages compared to the traditional machining technology. Cold forging technology in Catcher is a precision plastic forming process, machining is widely used in various key components in the manufacture of mechanical products.
