Extrusion process is a method to press the raw material inside strong containers and then extrude the shape through the mold to form the shape. Most are long and straight raw profile with the same cutting surface provided for post-processing. In order to get high quality extrusion parts, the temperature of the mold, the preheat temperature of the material, the temperature of the container and the temperature during extrusion must be monitored. Their variables will be different based on the selection of the size, shape and material selection of the extrusion parts. Catcher has extrusion lines which capacity are ranging from 690 tons to 3600 tons. The sizes we can produce for customers range from palmtops to 17” laptops. Materials include aluminum and magnesium alloys.
Extrusion is a metal forming process to driven by hydraulic lever to squeeze the metal into container through a narrow opening mold to become a required profile, compared to other plastic molding process, extrusion has some advantages, such as: (1) can manufacture complex shapes of products; (2) good accuracy of products; (3) good surface treatment; (4) can complete produce size and accuracy requirements at the same time; All items with the same cross-section can be manufactured using extrusion methods.
